Four steps. Enrollment and activation are separate — here's the whole sequence.

Step One

Download & Enroll in the App

Download the HUM Driver app (iOS and Android). Verify your phone, enter your vehicle and city details, and upload a selfie. Enrollment takes about 5 minutes — and it's step one, not the finish line.

Step Two

HUM runs on a flat monthly subscription based on your vehicle type. After you enroll, we'll text and email you your personal subscription link. Subscribing is what unlocks your account and your Ride Assurance coverage, which is billed per mile as you drive.

Step Three

Get Activated

Once you subscribe, our team activates your driver account and you'll get a confirmation the moment you're live.

Step Four

Start Driving

Take your first private ride fully covered, and start turning the riders you already drive into clients that are yours.

Every HUM driver completes a standard background check and driving record review through our third-party provider, and provides license, registration, and proof-of-insurance documents. Passing is required to drive on HUM.

Ride Assurance, the commercial coverage on your private rides, is billed separately per mile driven at your state's rate. See rates.
